“One of the best value-for-pleasure wines in Pomerol.” Set in the very heart of the appellation, with venerable old vines bordering the legendary Château Trotanoy, Château Bourgneuf delivers a rare kind of refinement. The subtle aromatic layers, silky length and fresh finish immediately place it among the finest names in Pomerol, thanks to gentle winemaking that favors concrete vats and infusion over extraction.
This level of excellence has thrilled us year after year since Frédérique Vayron took the helm a decade ago. Awarded a star in the French wine guide RVF, the estate confirmed its stature during our recent visit, where both young and older vintages showed an ability to age effortlessly.
