Now firmly at the top of the Margaux hierarchy, Château Cantenac Brown continues its remarkable rise, gaining depth and definition with every vintage—and this latest release is no exception. The estate now benefits from a brand-new winemaking facility, which may well have contributed to the wine’s new level of precision and brilliance. Or perhaps it’s the texture—the way its power is so beautifully restrained, shaping a harmonious Margaux with enveloping tannins. It could also be the expansion of the vineyard under the Le Lous family (of Urgo fame), now covering 63 hectares, which allows for stricter selection and an even more focused grand vin. Or maybe, quite simply, it’s that Cantenac Brown possesses a unique softness and an unmistakable Médoc identity. This is a complete wine—combining richness and finesse in perfect harmony.
