The 2018 Red Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru from the Clos Frantin estate is a rare wine. Only 63 ares of the 50 ha of this famous vineyard, a terroir revealed 9 centuries ago by Cistercian monks. This wine comes from two gently sloping plots that link the bottom and the top of the Clos, on brown and chalky soils. It feeds on all the nuances of this terroir, revealing very elegant notes of flowers and cherry in its youth, which will evolve towards blond tobacco, tea and undergrowth over the years. Dense and structured, powerful but balanced by the richness of its fruit, the wine has beautiful tannins, refined by aging in large wooden vats. An emblematic grand cru of the Bichot house!
