Wine:

Bordering the prized Chassagne-Montrachet terroir in Pimont, the 2022 Saint-Aubin Premier Cru Le Charmois White ranks among the finest whites of the region. Its fully ripe nose reveals the intensity of Chardonnay with pronounced citrus notes, a floral lift, and elegantly managed oak. On the palate, the wine is broad and mineral-driven, showcasing the concentration and maturity of the vintage. It offers a generous texture balanced by vibrant freshness and a sharply defined saline finish. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Delicate pneumatic pressing of whole grapes for several hours. Settling in stainless steel vats overnight. Alcoholic fermentation in barrels. Aged on fine lees for 12 months in wood, 75% in Burgundy barrels (15% of which are new) and 25% in 2018 casks, followed by 6 months in stainless steel vats.

Color:

Bright golden yellow.

Nose:

Distinct citrus notes mingle with floral hints, complemented by well-balanced noble woody notes.

Palate:

Full-bodied and highly mineral, with intense ripe fruit, this wine is lively, fleshy and fresh, with a very sharp, salty finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C in a large glass.

Pâté en croûte with poultry, shellfish, fine fish, sweetbreads, and foie gras.

Starting today, until 2032 and beyond for enthusiasts.
