The 2019 Red Beaune 1er Cru Les Sizies is an exquisite infusion of burlat cherry, with a touch of spice and delicate oak. Concentrated and ripe, marked by its fairly clayey hillside soil, this pinot noir is unapologetically seductive. We appreciate its very nice palate, its noble oaky taste, its freshness and its complexity. A bottle worthy of the greatest terroirs, rated 93/100 by the Committee.

Established in 2016, the Côtes et Climats Pierre Mayeul House makes Burgundies of strong identity and with a high level of quality. Frédéric Hirault, Matthieu Bouchard and Ludivine Grivault select the best grapes for this, educated by a precise knowledge of the most beautiful terroirs of Burgundy. 

Strong identity, small volumes, great terroirs: the equation seems simple, yet it is carried out with a lot of grace, with all the experience and intuition of Ludivine Grivault who invests in this project with the same level of requirement that she brings to the Hospices de Beaune.
