Characteristics

Country / Region: Burgundy

Vintage: 2020

Name: AOP Corton

Grape variety: 100% Pinot noir

Alcohol: 13.5 vol.

Capacity: 75 cl

Wine:

Extremely delicate and elegant, the 2020 Red Corton Grand Cru Renardes expresses beautiful aromas of morello cherries and ripe cherries, with a noble woody imprint. The palate unfurls its dense, refined fruit with great consistency, backed by a tannic structure that will take all the time it needs to digest the woodiness. This is a fine, promising Corton Grand Cru, to be drunk over the next ten years. Rated 94/100 by our Committee!

Color:

Beautifully intense red, carmine tones, brilliant.

Nose:

Very pure, ripe fruit, cherries and morello cherries in abundance, fresh, noble oak present.

Palate:

The palate is still marked by its ageing, but the texture of this delicate Pinot offers good volume, and it has the stamina to digest this woodiness. This is a very promising wine, so don't rush it, see it in 2 years, taste it over ten years.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

An exceptional wine for special occasions and meals in good company! Veal sweetbreads with a simple black truffle jus, spit-roasted free-range poultry, beef cheek with pinot noir, pan-roasted Iberian pork chop.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2033, and beyond for enthusiasts.

An established presence in the Côte d'Or, Domaine d'Ardhuy stands out for its vineyards that span both the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits.
