Wine:

Burgundy harbors treasures of great rarity, like this 2020 red Pommard 1er Cru Clos Blanc, which is white in name only. It's made from delicate pinot noir grapes grown on an 89-acre plot, a real gem. Originally, the wine from this Clos was... a white wine, hence the name! Now planted with pinot noir, this terroir produces a great Pommard, built for aging, duly matured in barrels. This particular climate gives it extra finesse compared to its peers, with great precision and uprightness. Young or more mature, it can be enjoyed at any time. Don't miss this particularly successful 2020!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested and 100% destemmed, gently extracted by punching down, malolactic fermentation and aged for 6 to 10 months in oak barrels.

Color:

Bright ruby red with good intensity.

Nose:

Fresh, delicate aromas of red berries underlined by fine spicy notes.

Palate:

Delicate and precise with fresh fruit, this wine is made for aging, releasing a juice of great uprightness and beautiful sapidity.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Duck with cherries, braised oxtail, marcassin hazelnuts, truffled poularde.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2033, and even longer for enthusiasts.

The pride of Burgundy, Domaine Albert Grivault reigns unequivocally over the Côte de Beaune. While it owns royal shares in the best terroirs, each cuvée benefits from virtuoso vinification. The wines produced here - alas, in small quantities, as the estate covers only 6 hectares - far exceed the standards of their appellations, even overshadowing a number of grands crus...

The opportunity to buy a few bottles today has become quite rare, as the wines are difficult to access without allocation... Grab the very last bottles of the great 2020 vintage, VIP+ only.
