From 0.66 hectares of 50-year-old vines and aged in barrels with 20% new oak, the 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes White is a wine of sensual intensity. The nose immediately reveals notes of candied and exotic fruits, lifted by a hint of bergamot. On the palate, it’s broad and opulent, delivering dense, concentrated texture with a subtle touch of spice. This is a serious, structured Charmes that demands cellaring—no less than 7 to 8 years. But the refinement and class are undeniable.Vinification:
Area: 0.66 hectares. Subsoil composed of rock slabs. Average age of vines: 50 years. Aging in a small proportion of new barrels (20%) and the rest in barrels that have been used once or twice allows the terroir to express itself fully.The vines are grown using non-certified organic methods.
