Wine:

From a 45-are parcel bordering Griottes, planted in 1954 and 1972 on marl and limestone soils, the 2022 Red Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru lives up to its name — suave and elegant. Aromas of black fruit, cherry and spice mingle with oak that has been perfectly judged, with 50 percent new barrels, creating a wine that is subtle, refined and full of class. With more than 20 years of aging potential, it stands among the greats of Burgundy. Rated 96/100 by the Selection Committee.
