From a parcel right at the heart of the clos, the 2023 Red Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is an extraordinary wine—remarkable for its silky texture, power, and vibrant freshness. It has immense class, free from the rustic edges you sometimes find in this appellation, and there’s no doubt about its superb ageing potential. Rated 96/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Area of 2.21 hectares, planted in 1927, 1968, 1973, 1977, 1990, and 2011. 100% destemmed, vinified in open stainless steel vats. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Deep red with beautiful intensity and brilliance.

Nose:

Intense berry aromas underscored by orange zest and floral notes.
