Wine:

With impressive depth and full ripeness, the 2018 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru Red is intense, powerful, and built to last. Packed with notes of black cherry and elderberry, its concentrated texture delivers a serious, fleshy Pinot—both juicy and firmly structured. This is a bold, balanced wine, with finely judged ageing and savoury grip to match. It’s got presence, polish, and serious aging potential. Rated 95/100 by both the Selection Committee and the French wine guide RVF.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Traditional vinification. Aged for 16 months in oak barrels, 40% of which are new.

Color:

Intense ruby red.

Nose:

A complex nose combining humus, sweet spices and very ripe strawberries, evoking the terroirs of Corton with their stony, red clay soils.

Palate:

The palate starts off very smooth, before the tannins, marked by notes of licorice, impose their presence; structured and slender, this wine needs to be decanted to fully express itself.

Temperature:

Serve at 14–16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Eggs in red wine sauce, grilled pork chops, slow-cooked lamb shoulder, rib of beef, cheeses.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2032
