The triple-malt Bellevoye Rouge is a French whisky with the particularity of having been aged in Grands Crus Bordeaux barrels. In our glasses, it expresses intense, complex aromas, a rich palette reminiscent of fresh, fruity notes mingled with cereal scents. With aeration, the malt evolves towards aromas of Ente plum, crème brûlée and the first nuts of autumn. Its complexity also develops on the palate, notably in its strength and creamy texture. The palate recalls the generosity of Medjool dates. Subtle flavors of spice and brown sugar accompany the savory finish.

Elaboration:

Triple Malt, lightly peated, a unique blend of France's finest single malts, primary aged for 5 to 10 years in French oak barrels at each of the 3 selected distilleries, secondary aged for 6 months in new French oak barrels toasted by the distilleries using a unique method at the Bellevoye winery in the Charente region, finishing aged for 6 months in Grands Crus du Bordelais barrels, also at the Bellevoye winery in the Charente region. The absence of sulfur in the freshly emptied barrels guarantees the complexity and aromatic purity of this whisky.

Color:

Amber with golden highlights.

Nose:

Intense and complex, with a rich aromatic palette of fresh, fruity notes. Malt mingles with aromas of Ente plum, crème brûlée and the first nuts of autumn. It evokes the deliciousness of a warm fruitcake.

Palate:

Powerful, long and fruity. Thanks to its creamy, mellow texture, the palate is reminiscent of the generosity of Medjool dates. The presence of menthol notes preserves the balance. The tannins are wrapped in a case of softness. The fragrance of fine spices and brown sugar accompanies the savory finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Glencairn whisky glass.

Food and wine pairing:

As an aperitif, digestif, on its own, or for water lovers who like to complement their Whisky tasting, we suggest a still, neutral, fresh spring water.
