Cravan - Cocktail - Old Fashion

The Old Fashion Cocktail by Cravan, assembled with Hennessy VS Cognac, brings a distinctly French twist to this iconic recipe, traditionally made with Bourbon and closely related to the Negroni. Thanks to the Cognac, this version is more refined and elegant than the original, developing floral and fruit-driven aromas, along with subtle notes of almond and dried fruit. A red wine–based aperitif created especially by Cravan adds hints of bitter orange peel, completing the aromatic profile. The result is a layered and expressive cocktail, finishing long on fresh citrus and soft vanilla. Created in close collaboration with Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, Master Blender at Hennessy.

Best served neat, well-chilled, without ice.

Elaboration:

Made with Glenmorangie 12-year-old Scotch Whisky, fine orange liqueur (Nusbaumer) and bitters (Angostura).

Nose:

Light citrus notes, aromatic yellow fruit with a hint of sweet spices.

Palate:

A subtle blend of ripe fruits and dried fruits. The bitterness adds complexity with notes of cinnamon and cloves.
