Wine:

Born on the steep slopes of Verduno and crafted from a blend of grapes from various plots, as tradition dictates, the 2018 Red Barolo Acclivi is a perfect reflection of the appellation. Elegant and full of character, it is both concentrated and intense, with beautiful notes of dark fruit and dried herbs. The balance is impeccable, built around exceptionally silky tannins and a refined texture that is truly remarkable and rarely achieved. A masterful wine. Rated 95/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Old vines on the steep slopes of the Verduno hillsides, in Monvigliero, Neirane, Bocato and Rocche dell'Olmo.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Roast beef, duck breast with spices, shredded beef with Espelette chilli.

From now until 2035, and even longer for enthusiasts.

A true legend of Barolo, Giovanni Burlotto stands in the pantheon of world viticulture. Founded in 1850, the estate once supplied the House of Savoy and still enjoys a loyal following among the greatest wine lovers.

With 12 hectares in Verduno, the northernmost part of the appellation, this family estate in Piedmont produces wines of remarkable class in the purest Italian tradition.
