Etsu Gin is distinguished by a very sharp floral scent, and the persistent presence of orange peel and yuzu, a very popular citrus fruit in Asia. The palate follows this floral and vegetal balance and develops fine peppery notes, with a hint of licorice. Round, supple and silky, this delicate gin is a pure moment of pleasure. In cocktails, associated with smoked or marinated fish, it opens up gastronomic perspectives as inventive as they are delightful!

Elaboration:

Distillation from an ancestral recipe of various herbs, spices and citrus fruits, some of which are found only in Asia (berries, peppers, citrus fruits, yuzu, bitter orange peel, coriander, licorice, angelica ...).

Nose:

It exudes freshness, complex and intense floral notes, punctuated by aromas of citrus, yuzu and macerated berries.

Palate:

Round, supple and silky with the same floral and vegetal balance accompanied by fine peppery notes and a hint of licorice. A pure moment of pleasure!

Temperature:

Serve between 8 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

In cocktails, on ice with a little lime, with a very good fresh tonic, associated with smoked or marinated fish.

The Japanese gin, Etsu (which means "pleasure") is an ode to finesse, a wonderful edition of this drink born in the Netherlands in the 17th century. The juniper berry gives way here to a clever blend of herbs and citrus fruits that offer a particular distinction to this gin.

Indeed, this gin was elaborated by the Asahikawa distillery, on the island of Hokkaido, in the purest Japanese tradition. Inspired by an ancestral recipe, it brings together various ingredients, herbs, spices and citrus fruits, some of which can only be found in Asia, such as yuzu, but also bitter orange peel, coriander, licorice and angelica.
