Domaine Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot - Côtes du Brian IGP - Le 50/50 - Rouge - 2019

Wine:

Fresh and fruity, the 2019 Red La 50/50 IGP Côtes du Brian showcases a beautiful palate full of fruit punctuated with hints of violets and white flowers. This is a dense and rich wine, with fine and present tannins, which restore a lot of balance while also ensuring a very nice aging potential. A pure delight rated 16/20 by our Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, totally de-stemmed, aged in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats.

Color:

Very dark red with some carmine highlights.

Nose:

Fresh, abundant on black fruits, violet and floral notes.

Palate:

Rich, of beautiful density, this wine presents numerous and fine tannins, it can be enjoyed now or in some years!

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Platter of fine charcuterie, tapas, grilled red meats or in sauces, cheeses.

From now until 2028

One of the most accomplished Burgundy winemakers, Anne Gros is one of the great ladies of the Vosne-Romanée appellation. At the same time, she likes to experiment with different terroirs, mainly that of the Minervois region, with its limestone and sandstone soils. There, she forges wines of amazing balance with the same high standards she applies in her Burgundian experiences. 

Alongside her husband Jean-Paul Tollot, they conquer with panache the different grape varieties of the area and produce wonderful red wines, bottles of extreme precision, finesse and elegance.
