Wine:

Brimming with immediate appeal, the 2024 Red Languedoc Autour du Cinsault is a vibrant celebration of old-vine Cinsault at its best. Blended with Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, it shows off a cascade of fresh aromas—think dried rose petals, violets, and wild blackberry—alongside just a touch of gentle smokiness. The palate is all about smoothness and precision, delivering ripe, unmasked fruit flavours wrapped in silky, elegant tannins. This is a splendid wine of remarkable balance, already drinking beautifully but easily able to evolve over the next five years or more. A Selection Committee favourite, rated 93/100.

Backed by Olivier Jullien of Mas Jullien fame, Jean-Baptiste Granier has been working his magic for over 15 years in the Terrasses du Larzac at his estate, domaine des Vignes Oubliées.

His high-altitude plots around Saint-Privat, rooted in schist and sandstone soils, yield truly exceptional grapes. The wines that follow are nothing short of breathtaking—powerful yet impeccably refined.

These are pure, deep wines produced in small quantities, adored by serious enthusiasts and honoured with 2 stars by Revue du Vin de France, France’s leading wine guide and reference publication.
