The 2023 Red Saumur-Champigny La Folie masterfully captures the vibrant aromatics of fresh Cabernet Franc, with concentrated graphite notes and perfectly tuned, refined aging. Its flavourful, energetic structure is lifted by a fleshy freshness and a silky, expansive texture. A truly outstanding bottle—and a firm favourite of our Selection Committee, rated 93/100.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Maceration in concrete vats for 3 weeks. Vinification using whole grapes. Aged for 12 months in truncated wooden vats.

Certified organic wine.

Color:

Intense red with purple highlights.

Nose:

Intensely fragrant with red and black fruits and a hint of graphite.

Palate:

A delicious, full-bodied palate with a velvety, silky texture and lovely freshness.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.
