Wine:

Still young, the 2019 Red Saumur Clos Tue-Loup displays luscious flavors of black fruit and violet. The palate is of great elegance and class; it is a perfectly mature Cabernet, with delightful notes of graphite and berry. Both dense and very fresh, it combines a straight and refined typical Loire balance with the power of a great red wine. A high-flying plot selection. Noted 93/100 by our Committee!

Vinification:

Aged for 12 months in barrels of 2 and 3 wines. West parcel of Grand Fond (a locality of Brézé). 80 cm of silty soil with limestone pebbles and chalky bedrock.

The estate has been certified in Organic Agriculture since 2009 and in Biodynamic Agriculture since 2018.
Certified organic and Biodynamic wine.

Color:

Ruby red.

Nose:

Notes of small black fruits followed by the scent of violets.

Palate:

Fine and round. The palate is sublimated by perfectly smooth tannins. This wine, which is very influenced by the deep limestone terroir it comes from, has a lot of delicacy.

Temperature:

Serve slightly chilled between 14 and 16°C in large glasses. Decant 1 hour before serving if necessary. The slight reduction at the opening is a choice of bottling to naturally protect the wine. The decanting allows to erase this reduction.

Food and wine pairing:

Veal liver with raspberry vinegar, lamb chops with rosemary, beef entrecote with candied shallots.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2029
