Wine:

Dense and complex, with ripe aromas of white fruits, the 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé is the perfect gastronomix white wine. It has a beautiful, delicate yet generous style with a lot of tension and freshness on the finish. Enjoy it today or in the next few years, paired with a poultry with cream or mushrooms.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, grapes harvested in the commune of Pouilly. Maturation in new barrels and in barrels of one to 8 wines for 75% of the harvest, then in stainless steel thermoregulated tanks for the remaining 25%.

Color:

Bright yellow gold.

Nose:

Scents of small citrus fruits underlined by a delicate note of orgeat.

Palate:

Adored by the most renowned Michelin-starred chefs, Denis Jeandeau had become a sensation. Régis Marcon, Le Pré Catelan, Lameloise, l’Arpège, l’Ambroisie, and Guy Savoy, to name just a few, featured his wines on their menus. Rightfully awarded two stars by the RVF guide for several years, he was considered one of the most outstanding talents of his generation.

We were deeply shaken by his sudden passing this summer, as over the years he had become a friend and close associate of Ventealapropriete.

Given our relationship, built from his early days, we were deeply honored when his family entrusted us with the distribution of the last bottles he produced.


Very much in demand since our last sale, which convinced Burgundy amateurs everywhere, our long-lasting partnership and friendship with this wonderful winemaker has enabled us to score some more allocations.
