Wine:

Certified biodynamic, the 2021 red Lirac is a model of virtue and excellence. This Grenache-Syrah duo opens with notes of peony, ripe red fruit and a touch of pepper. The supple structure, with delicate, mellow tannins, forms a fresh, flowing whole that is highly enjoyable. Rated 92/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Grapes de-stemmed and crushed. Cold maceration for 12 to 48 hours. Aged in concrete vats on fine lees for 9 to 12 months.

Color:

Intense red with carmine highlights.

Nose:

Delicate aromas of ripe red fruit with floral notes of peony and a touch of pepper.

Palate:

Through a supple structure and almost melted tannins, a fresh and suave ensemble brought by the Syrah unfolds a fresh and digestible juice.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Spiced filet mignon, lamb chops with thyme, Haddock fillet and wild rice.

From now until 2027.
