Wine:

Made from the estate's oldest vines planted in 1902, with a strong dominant of Grenache and ancient grape varieties, the 2019 Red Cuvée Impériale Châteauneuf-du-Pape is dazzling in its control and intensity. Finesse, elegance, depth, concentration… everything blends together perfectly and we can only salute this monumental achievement, capable of aging for decades. A total work of art!

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Hundred-year-old vines, planted in 1901-1902. Very low yields between 16 and 18 hl/ha. Wine from Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture, Demeter certified.

Color:

Intense and brilliant purple red.

Nose:

Beautiful perfumes of black fruits punctuated with notes of zan and fine spices.

Palate:

Powerful and concentrated on a shining fruit, this vintage unfolds a fresh and dense wine of amazing mastery.

Temperature:

Decant and serve between 16 and 18°C in large glasses.

Food and wine pairing:

Rack of lamb roasted with thyme, couscous, stuffed duck, venison with Grand Veneur sauce, beef cheek stew.
