Wine:
A limited-production single-vineyard cuvée, the 2021 Côte-Rôtie Neve Red is a pure Syrah from a distinctive hillside terroir of schist and mica-schist soils in the village of Ampuis, facing south to southeast. This wine strikes a rare balance of structure and finesse, delivering deep, focused aromas of dark berries, graphite, and black pepper. The palate is finely sculpted, precise, and remarkably pure — a standout expression of this exceptional site.Vinification:
Hand harvested, 100% destemmed. Vinification in raw concrete tanks, alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeasts, wine stays on the skins for 4 to 5 weeks with regular pumping over at the start of maceration, then some punching down and work on the lees over the last 3 weeks of maceration. Aged in Burgundy barrels of 228 litres, 25% to 30% of which are new, for 14 to 18 months depending on the vintage.Certified organic and biodynamic wine.
