Wine:

The 2020 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Les Lézardes Red is a textbook introduction to pure Syrah. Bursting with red and black fruit, laced with soft spice, it offers a supple, juicy palate supported by lively, well-structured tannins. This is a rich yet balanced vintage, delivering immediate pleasure with impressive depth and a solid framework that promises a few more years of graceful evolution.

Vinification:

Hand harvested from young vines on the estate. Approximately 60% of the grapes are partially destemmed, fermented in stainless steel vats for 4 to 5 weeks with regular pumping over. Aged for just under 11 months in demi-muids, 5 to 10% of which are new.

Bright red of good intensity.

Nose:

Red and black fruit aromas with spicy notes.

Palate:

Lively and generous, this cuvée reveals a vibrant, sleek and juicy wine, with fresh, bright aromas and firm yet already enjoyable tannins that add structure and depth.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Red meat, a nice piece of grilled beef, flank steak with shallots, pigeon pastilla, tandoori chicken, roast duck with chanterelles, lamb tagine.
