Wine:

The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Chaupin Red offers a superb expression of Grenache on sandy soils, bursting with aromas of Morello cherry, spices, and garrigue, all framed by excellent ripeness. The powerful yet velvety structure extends these flavors with balance, elegance, and a delicate floral touch. This is a wine that is both powerful and graceful, showcasing great refinement. A Selection Committee Favourite, rated 95/100.

Vinification:

Hand harvested with sorting in the vineyard. 80% destemming, 26 days maceration with daily manual punching down. Aged for 12 months, 2/3 in large barrels and 1/3 in demi-muids (600 liters).

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Stuffed chicken, barbecued beef ribs, Provençal-style rack of veal.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2035.
