AWARDS

Wine rated 92/100 by our committee!

Wine:

Blending both red and white grapes, and aged partly in tanks and partly in barrels, the 2021 Red Cibelle, IGP Côtes Catalanes stands out for its finesse and delicacy. The nose is floral and expressive, led by peony and a touch of black pepper. On the palate, the wine is fresh and vibrant, with juicy, mouthwatering fruit flavors reminiscent of lightly macerated berries. It’s full in body but with restrained power, framed by fine, tight-knit tannins and real elegance. A generous, easy-drinking wine that shines slightly chilled, though it also has the structure to age for five years or more. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.

Founded in 2018 in Vingrau, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, Mirmanda is a young estate shaped by the passion of actor François-Xavier Demaison and the expertise of Dominique Laporte, Meilleur Ouvrier de France in Sommellerie.

Drawn to the landscape and convinced by the potential of these unique schist and limestone soils, the two set out to create wines with real personality.

The estate’s four hectares, tucked into the heart of the Agly Valley, sit in one of the most prized areas of the Roussillon. Winemaking here is low-intervention, with a constant focus on finesse and balance. The wines reflect that ambition with clarity.
