Wine:

The very first vintage of this old-vine Mondeuse, planted on the clay-limestone slopes of Arbin, the 2023 IGP des Allobroges Erythrite Red is an absolute showstopper. Vinified with about half whole clusters and aged partly in amphora, large casks, and barrels, it delivers a vivid, pure, and intense expression—savoury aromas of smoked bacon and cracked black pepper, with none of the rustic edges you might expect. The palate is refined and elegant yet full of ripe, fleshy texture, layered with spice and a hint of violet. Firm, structured tannins promise excellent aging potential, while the modest alcohol level only adds to its charm. Awarded 94/100 by our Selection Committee, this is a wine that serious enthusiasts will want to grab before it disappears.

Hand harvested. 100% whole grapes, 100% indigenous yeasts. Aged for 14 months in amphorae, casks and barrels, 15% of which are new oak.
