The 2022 Valais Syrah Red is without question among the finest Syrahs in the world. Grown on a north-facing terrace and made without any oak aging, it reveals itself with striking softness—pure, precise, and beautifully expressive. Aromas of smoked bacon, violet, black olive, and morello cherry lead the way in this refined, tension-filled wine, supported by juicy, supple tannins. A purist’s Syrah: intense and aromatic, yet without the overt ripeness typical of the Valais style. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.Vinification:
Located on granite terraces at an altitude of between 400 and 800 metres in the Canton of Valais. Spontaneous fermentation, pre-fermentation maceration and punching of the cap, no filtration. Aged in vats for 2 years.
