The 2022 Momento Grenache Gris White comes from the only known parcel of Grenache Gris in all of South Africa—a truly unique wine. These ten-year-old vines grow in Voor-Paardeberg, rooted in granite and clay soils, producing a white of remarkable depth and precision. It’s a wine for those who appreciate nuance and restraint, opening with subtle oxidative notes, beeswax, tonka bean, and poached pear. The palate is textured and expansive, with fresh acidity and a long, layered finish. Rare, distinctive, and decidedly gastronomic.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Skin maceration for 7 days before pressing. Natural fermentation in old French oak barrels. Aged for 10 months on lees.Color:
