A rising star on the Spanish wine scene, Diego Magaña is quickly establishing himself as one of the most gifted winemakers in Rioja. At his Dominio de Anza estate, he crafts precise, elegant wines with instant charm and approachability.

A protégé of the legendary Raúl Pérez, he’s part of the new wave of Rioja producers giving Bierzo’s best a run for their money.

Working with very old vines at elevations over 500 meters, Diego takes a meticulous approach. Aging is handled with a French touch — in large oak barrels that add texture without overwhelming the wine’s character.

Praised by Robert Parker’s team and increasingly sought-after by collectors, Diego Magaña’s reputation is soaring — and rightly so.
