Wine:

Made from two-thirds Chardonnay and partially aged in oak barrels, which bring subtle notes of toast and spice, Origine Brut Champagne is an absolute delight. Sourced from the 2023 harvest and bottled with no dosage, this exemplary cuvée immediately charms with its pure, complex aromatics: delicate floral tones, a touch of brioche, gentle toasty-grilled notes from lees aging, and a hint of white fruit. The fine, elegant bubbles reveal a soft, textured mouthfeel with impressive depth and maturity. Reserve wines add polish and finesse, giving the wine its layered, graceful finish. An outstanding Champagne to open the evening, perfect with salmon roe toasts or a refined fish course at the table. Rated 94/100 and named the Selection Committee’s Top Pick.

Vinification:

Hand harvested grapes from the terroirs of Ferebrianges, Etoges and Congy. Base 2023 + 30% reserve wines. Vinification and ageing on lees, partly in 228-litre barrels. Disgorging in March 2025.

Dosage: 4g/l.

Color:

Golden in colour with beautiful intensity and brilliance, delicate and persistent legs, and fine, regular bubbles.

Nose:

Complex and very pure around brioche notes, flowers and white fruits, highlighted by a toasted note brought out by a delicate reduction.

Palate:

Remarkably mature, this champagne has a dense, flavourful texture and reveals a beautiful patina brought about by the addition of reserve wines.

Temperature:

Serve between 8 and 10°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Champagne as an aperitif with a few salmon roe or meal toast.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2027

One to watch! A. Bergère Champagne has made a striking entrance into the Revue du vin de France guide in 2024 — a major nod from one of France’s most respected wine publications. This rising star is turning heads for all the right reasons.

With 45 hectares of vines rooted in the clay-limestone soils of the Vallée du Petit Morin and the prestigious Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs, this talented grower is crafting Champagne with remarkable precision.

Partial aging in oak barrels — which lends subtle notes of toast and spice — along with the use of reserve wines, brings depth and elegance to the range. The result? Champagnes that are incredibly refined, pure, and full of finesse.
