With a slightly roasted profile and intense dark chocolate notes, Aberlour A'Bunadh is a giant like no other that comes as close as possible to the straight-from-the-cask juices reminiscent of the craft whiskies of old ages. Notes of licorice stick mingle with cocoa, joined by fresher flavors of lime and grapefruit that temper its vigor. This is a virile and complex whisky, aimed at expert enthusiasts looking for the powerful taste of raw malts. A unique style!

Elaboration:

Not peated. Aged in Sherry casks, bottled at cask strength (about 60°), hence the name "Original Cask Strength". Not cold filtered.

Color:

Amber with ruby highlights.

Nose:

Roasted aromas mixed with notes of intense dark chocolate and fruity touches of red apple.

Palate:

Complex and consistent, with a smooth and powerful body, this whisky opens with beautiful notes of licorice stick and cocoa followed by fresher flavors of lime and grapefruit.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Glencairn whisky glass.

Food and wine pairing:

As an aperitif or digestif, alone or with a still, neutral and fresh spring water, Speyside Glenlivet for lovers of Scottish water.
