Wine:

A blend of Cabernet (85%) and Merlot, with an additional Cabernet Franc in this vintage (the Matarocchio cuvée not having been produced), the 2020 Red Bolgheri Superiore finds an ultra-seductive particularity here. It's a complex wine, which gains in subtlety and refinement what it loses in concentration; lovers of elegance rest assured: here they'll find the perfect reason to succumb! This cooler vintage offers a refined interpretation of Bolgheri, expressing all its nuances, between black fruits and spices, always with the intensity and uprightness so dear to Antinori, the wine remaining firmly planted on a sovereign freshness. The potential is immense! A major cuvée, rated 96/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Traditional vinification. Aged in French oak barrels.

Color:

Intense ruby red.

Nose:

Aromas of black berries, sweet spices and warm wood.

Palate:

Magnificent balance between perfectly integrated tannins and a rich, long finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Prime rib with rosemary, flank steak with shallots, roast lamb chop with reduced jus.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2041

The flagship of Italian viticulture, Antinori is one of the trump cards of the world wine scene. Its cuvées are making the headlines and winning over wine lovers the world over.

Particularly in the Bolgheri appellation, the birthplace of "Super Tuscans", world-class icons that rival the most sought-after wines such as Petrus or Cheval Blanc, without ever losing their Italian identity. This picturesque village bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea has thus become the center of the wine world, the object of covetousness.

The originators of these structured reds incorporating Bordeaux grape varieties, the Antinori family has been one of its most worthy representatives for 30 years through La Tenuta Guado al Tasso, their flagship, forging Italy's greatest vintages on these soils of alluvium and sand mixed with limestone.
