Made from 50+ year old vines situated on a hillside on white marl, the 2019 white Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru unfolds an expressive, mineral palate with notes of white flowers, ripe fruit, and apricot, with a nice density and substance. The two-year aging in the cellar, with 30% new barrels, gives it the necessary ease and warmer touches of honey. It is an elegant wine, long and suave on the palate, with a finish of dried fruits. Perfect with grilled lobster, foie gras or fish.Vinification:
Hand harvested, aged on fine lees in oak barrels, 30% of which are new, for 24 months.Color:
