Wine:

Facing southeast, the 2018 White Puligny-Montrachet reveals a beautiful expression of Chardonnay on these premier limestone soils. Notes of peach, fresh almond, and candied citrus first greet the nose, accompanied by a hint of spices, vanilla, and white flowers. The palate is both powerful and sharp, with a lovely richness and a very impressive zesty finish. It can be enjoyed now, especially with dishes like buttery perch, prawns, or monkfish stew.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, long, natural fermentation in oak barrels.

Color:

Bright light gold.

Nose:

Aromas of butter, fresh almond and candied citrus.

Palate:

Fresh and chiselled, this powerful, sharp cuvée releases juices that are full-bodied, with a long, tangy finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Pike-perch with beurre blanc, monkfish navarin, prawns.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028, and even longer for enthusiasts.
