AWARDS

A wine rated 92+/100 by our Committee!

Wine:

Already very accessible, the 2020 Red Ribeira Sacra Camino Real delivers a beautiful whole with fresh, juicy perfumes. The pure nose, with its deliciously smoky notes of pit fruit and licorice, is immediately seductive; the palate is well-balanced, fresh, and sophisticated, with well-established tannins. An elegant, harmonious red to enjoy with meat in sauce or grilled. For drinking or cellaring for five years or more. Rated 92+/100 by the committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested in crates. Traditional vinification, maceration for 45 days, then vinified in truncated-cone wooden vats. Aged between 10 months and 1 year in 500-liter French oak barrels and 5000-liter wooden vats.

Color:

Dark purple-red with carmine highlights, brilliant.

Nose:

Pure, delicate aromas emerge on the first nose, with subtle notes of smoky vine shoots and pit fruit, underlined by a hint of licorice.

Palate:

Well-balanced, this elegant, easily digestible wine reveals harmonious juices, a velvety tannic structure and a long, persistent finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Grilled prime rib, navarin of lamb, sesame-grilled ribs with hearty jus.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028 and beyond for enthusiasts.

A fashionable appellation, the Ribeira Sacra is prized for its delicate wines as much as its reasonable prices. The Atlantic coastline provides maximum freshness, and the heroic terraced cultivation offers some of the most spectacular conditions in Spain!

Guimaro is a major witness to this insolent Spanish success, producing wines of incomparable precision. In the extreme climate of Galicia, the estate crafts wines that are far removed from caricatured, powerful profiles, and are always fresh and easy to digest.
