Wine:

Tasted just before bottling, the 2022 Red Terrasses du Larzac La Traversée showcases pure, concentrated depth and a rich, fleshy texture—offering a glimpse of its greatness to come. The nose is brimming with aromas of wild blackberry, black licorice, and black olive. On the palate, it delivers a generous and powerful structure, balanced by a fresh, vibrant energy and beautifully velvety tannins. This is an outstanding cuvée with excellent aging potential, best enjoyed over the next 6 to 8 years. Rated 95/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested in crates. Each grape variety is vinified independently in concrete vats. Maturation of the Syrah in truncated wooden vats, and the Carignan and Grenache in oval tuns for 18 months.

Color:

Intense, almost black red with purple highlights.

Nose:

Bursting with ripe blackberries, wild blueberries, and hints of licorice and black olive.

Palate:

The palate is bold and full-bodied, balanced by fresh, lively energy and velvety tannins, with a promising potential for aging.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Roast and caramelised pork belly, roast suckling lamb, mustard and honey quail, Sarladaise salad.
