Wine:

The 2019 red Côtes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem is yet another standout success. Its intense aromas of macerated fruit, complemented by subtle oak aging, create a perfect expression of a southern wine with a well-balanced Mediterranean character. The ripe, concentrated juice is framed by fine yet structured tannins, with Grenache bringing depth and Carignan adding a fresh, lifted edge. A beautiful bottle to enjoy now with coq au vin or a Provençal daube, or to cellar for a few more years.

Hand harvested and totally destemmed, maceration for 4 weeks, regular punching of the cap, 50% of the harvest is matured in concrete vats.

Organic wine, certified.

Michel Chapoutier continues his relentless pursuit of excellence in the Roussillon, at Domaine de Bila-Haut. A pioneer of biodynamic viticulture, he brings the same philosophy to these southern vineyards that earned him a place among the world’s most respected winemakers.

With his signature flair, he blends Mediterranean grape varieties into wines that are nothing short of exceptional—irresistibly delicious and deeply expressive.

Take this single-vineyard wine, for example. It hails from Latour de France, a high-altitude enclave perched on dramatic limestone cliffs—a rare terroir that produces radiant, age-worthy reds with striking freshness.
