The 2021 white Vernaccia Di San Gimignano Tradizionale steers clear of technical complexity, instead weaving subtle and intricate aromas. With a nose of gentian, linden, and honey, it captures a root-like essence while maintaining a carefully controlled slight oxidation. The palate continues this refined theme with a vibrant, concentrated start, followed by a superb mineral structure, great freshness, and delicate bitterness. This wine is all about emotion, perfect for pairing with cooked fish, sheep's tomme cheese, or a white truffle risotto. It promises a good aging potential of at least 7-8 years. A favorite of the Committee, it's rated 93/100.
