In the heart of the Margaux terroir, Jean-Luc Zuger stands out from most local winemakers. A gourmet and an excellent taster, he makes wine in his own image: solid, frank, honest, with refined tannins and a creamy texture. Year after year, in spite of fashions, Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry remains a safe investment, made from well ripened grapes, cut out for the table and gastronomy.

For some time now, the natural class of the terroir and its potential for longevity have been joined by an additional finesse that suits it well. The vineyard has regained its superb quality and the wines of this 3rd Grand Cru Classé of 1855 are once again among the most interesting of the Margaux vineyard. "This Margaux cru continues, without making a fuss, to produce some of the most endearing and original wines of the appellation", says the RVF.
