The 2020 Red Douro Oscar's Quevedo offers itself in great freshness and balance, with abundant aromas of black fruits coupled with spices, pepper, a touch of smoke. The palate seduces with its energy, its harmony around crunchy flavors of fruit, and its fine tannins. A wine that is ready to drink or that can be kept in the cellar for another 5 to 6 years. Vinification:

Hand harvested during the last two weeks of September. 100% destemming. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control and gentle maceration. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.

Color:

Dark red, purplish reflections.

Nose:

Abundant black fruit aromas mixed with notes of spice, pepper and a touch of smoke.

Palate:

Balanced and fresh, this wine seduces with its energy, its harmony around a crunchy fruit, its fine tannins and its sober ageing.

Temperature:

To be served slightly chilled between 15 and 17°C.

Grilled beef with wild thyme, duck breast with cherries, pork chop with paprika, braised beef with mushrooms.
