Wine:

The 2020 White Douro DO Xisto Illimitado is a mineral, precise, floral and refined wine. Made from indigenous grape varieties, supported by a very fine maturation, it has ripe aromas of fruit, a delicate frame and a beautiful concentration. The delicate yet tight tannins blend into a very elegant palate. We appreciate its sapid character, with a saline and mineral finish. A completely chameleon-like wine, at ease on its own as an aperitif or with grilled or smoked fish!

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Different plots of land located in the wine area of Meda in the Douro Superior, predominantly micaschist soil. Crushing, destemming, pressing without prior maceration. Fermentation and maturation by indigenous yeasts: 70% in used French oak barrels of 228 and 500 liters, 30% in stainless steel tanks.

Bright light gold.

Nose:

Precise, very pure and refined, floral notes mixed with mineral touches, all underlined by a very fine maturation.

Palate:

Precise and refined with pure and perfectly ripe aromas of fruit, this wine with a delicate structure unfolds a sapid, saline and mineral palate with beautiful notes of gunflint on the finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aperitif, seafood, grilled or smoked fish, fish or white meat stew, salmon tagliatelle with ricotta cream, soft cheese.
