The 2020 Barbera d’Alba Superiore Pairolero is a wine of elegance, freshness, and vibrancy. Extremely pure and aromatic, it offers refined notes of graphite, sage, and juicy cherry, making it immediately approachable and effortlessly enjoyable. Best served slightly chilled, in a large glass, or decanted beforehand. This Barbera has the potential to age beautifully for over ten years and ranks among the top five of its appellation. A must-try at least once in a lifetime!

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Fermentation and maceration of 25 days using only indigenous yeasts. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barrels. Aged on lees for 16 months in oak barrels, 15% of which are new, all from the François Frères cooperage in Burgundy. No filtration or fining.

Color:

Bright purple red with violet reflections.

Nose:

Aromas of red fruits, black cherry mixed with notes of sage and a touch of graphite.

Palate:

Full and juicy, this wine offers freshness and purity with vibrancy. Elegance and balance, purely irresistible!

Temperature:

Serve slightly chilled between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Lamb with herb crusts, duck with olives or cherries, beef a la plancha or grilled, beef filet with mushroom crust.
