Wine:

A skilful blend of old Grenache on rolled pebbles (two-thirds) and Syrah on clay-limestone, the 2020 Red Vacqueyras has a dense and harmonious juice of great purity. The violet and peony aromas mingle with those of black fruit. A marvelous value for money, as always with this label! Vinification:

Hand harvested. For the Grenache : vinification and maturing for 12 months in small concrete vats. For the Syrah : vinification in concrete tanks, then, after the malolactic fermentation, maturing in oak barrels of 1 wine during 12 months.

Color:

Intense dark red with some carmine highlights.

Nose:

Ripe marked by peonies, violet notes and the dominance of Grenache.

Palate:

Dense and harmonious, this wine with a rich structure has fine tannins.

Temperature:

Serve slightly chilled between 14 and 16°C, in a large glass.

7 o'clock lamb, tajine with prunes, roast pork with sage, grilled beef rib, roasted duck breast with Espelette pepper.
