AWARDS

A wine rated 93/100 by our Committee!

Wine:

Dominated by old Grenache Blanc and Roussanne vines planted on limestone and sandy soils, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Anonyme Blanc 2022 retains a magnificent freshness. The precociousness of these terroirs, coupled with fermentations at low temperatures, combine optimal ripeness with natural acidity. The result is a beautiful white wine, dense and structured, with aromas of citrus, juicy white fruits, delicate honey and spices. The wine's great elegance and long, mineral finish offer maximum pleasure. A very fine wine to be cellared for another 4 or 5 years, or enjoyed today with poultry or baked fish.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Fermentation at low temperature to preserve high acidity. Roussanne aged for 4 months in barrel. Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Picpoul aged in stainless steel tanks.

Color:

Bright pale yellow with green highlights.

Nose:

Intense aromas of citrus and sweet spices underlined by honey-like notes.

Palate:

Pure, clean and precise, this salivating wine offers great energy and ripeness, finishing with fine mineral bitters.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aperitifs, raw and marinated fish in sauce or grilled, grilled turbot with fennel, gnocchi with white truffles, linguini alla vongole, veal fillet in chanterelle cream sauce, garlic shrimp, fresh goat's cheese.

From now until 2029

A guardian of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, imposing a modern, uncompromising vision of wine, Xavier Vignon has completely reshuffled the appellation's cards to the point of becoming its number one consultant. Under his tutelage, wines of charm and elegance are flourishing, and Grenache is regaining its superb depth. Equally adept at blending and aging, the maestro labels his own wines with fiendish precision.
