Wine:

The 2016 Red Pessac-Léognan Les Hauts de Smith is a model of balance and suavity, thanks to its nice proportion of Merlot (60%). Its aromas of red and black fruits and sweet spices flow in a concentrated and unctuous palate. There is a beautiful freshness and aromatic concentration all throughout the tasting. A beautiful wine to be tasted at once. Rated 91-92 by James Suckling and 90/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. 100% destemmed. Fermentation of 4 to 6 weeks in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks. Aged for 14 months in barrels, 20% of which are new.

Red purple of beautiful intensity.

Nose:

Red fruit fragrances underlined by notes of sweet spices

Palate:

Rich and unctuous, this wine possesses a great aromatic expression and a smooth and perfectly whole.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Confit of duck, heart of rump steak, pork filet mignon with chanterelles.
