Wine:

From vines planted in 1904, the 2023 Red Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Cuvée Le Grand Maupertui consistently delivers a deeply concentrated wine, crafted with remarkable precision.

It stands out for its pure fruit expression, breadth, and power—offering a savoury, complex structure supported by ripe, finely sculpted tannins. With age, it will develop more spiced and candied nuances, while the tannins will gain even more finesse. A Grand Cru with both strength and sophistication.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new.
94-acre vineyard planted in 1904, with regular replanting giving an average age of around 70 years.

Color:

Bright purple red with beautiful intensity.

Nose:

Aromas of black fruits mixed with delicate peppery and spicy notes.

Palate:
