Wine:

Sourced from a parcel located at the lower part of the village, the 2021 Red Gevrey-Chambertin offers a deep, aromatic juice that is perfectly ripe and flavorful. Notes of dark fruits and violet are complemented by a hint of spice and a well-integrated oak influence, allowing the fruit to shine through beautifully. This wine boasts a lovely structure, superb balance, and a long, fresh finish. It's a magnificent expression of both the terroir and the vintage. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, 100% destemmed, 16-day maceration in open stainless steel vats, aged 16 months in French oak barrels (30% new), bottled unfined with light filtration.

Color:

Ruby red with garnet highlights.

Nose:

Lovely fruity bouquet with notes of wild strawberry, plum and cherry, underlined by well-controlled oak and a touch of spice.

Palate:

Structured and well-balanced, this wine offers deep, fragrant juice, perfectly ripe and flavorful, with supple tannins and a long, fresh persistence.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Preferably red meats: partridge with cabbage, pike-perch with red wine, monkfish matelote, duck with red butter.
