Wine:

The 2022 White Chablis 1er Cru Vosgros comes from one of the most discreet Premier Crus in the appellation, on a sunny and highly calcareous terroir. The result is a white wine of devilish precision, as always at the estate, with typical Chablisian notes of seashells and chalk on the nose. This Chardonnay, harvested at just the right ripeness, offers ripe, concentrated material with a saline, sharp, and persistent structure. Although it can be kept for five to seven years, you'll be tempted well before 2030, we are certain! The Selection Committee's favorite, rated 94/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Mechanical harvesting, natural yeasts, aged in stainless steel vats on fine lees.

Color:

Bright, light gold.

Nose:

Very typical of Chablis, with notes of shell and chalk.

Palate:

Ripe and concentrated, let yourself be seduced by this cuvée with its saline structure and lingering finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Oysters, seafood salad, Burgundy snails, oven-roasted fish, goat's cheese.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028, and even longer for enthusiasts.

With fervor and enthusiasm, Céline and Frédéric Gueguen are charting a perfect path in the heart of the Yonne. Now converted to organic, their estate has reached a very high level, offering enticing prices as well. Their well-crafted Chardonnays, brimming with energy and precision, and their charming, fruity reds make up a range that one can continuously draw from.
