Wine:

The 2017 Red Gevrey-Chambertin Les Corvées, on the same climate as the Rebourseau estate, delivers intense notes of black fruits and licorice with a nice toasty palette. The strong opening gives way to a nice mid palate with raspberry flavors and a slightly tannic finish. A wine to be decanted before serving with stewed or spicy meat. It is still a young wine, we can wait another 5 years or more. Rated 94/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, aged for 12 months in oak barrels.

Color:

Garnet red slightly burnished.

Nose:

Nice liquorice notes underlined by woody touches.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028.
